Hey tweens! Want to meet an interesting Jewish author? Kathy Kacer is the
author of several Jewish-themed books for tweens, including PJ Our Way’s (https://pjourway.org/story-central/The-Sound-of-Freedom) and
(https://pjourway.org/story-central/Broken-Strings). Kathy
will be in Montreal to share her knowledge about some “heroes” of the
Holocaust – individuals who risked their lives to help or save Jews at that
time – whom she learned about when doing research for her novels. There will
be lots of time for Q&A from tweens about her writing process, how she chooses
her themes, how she writes her books so that they will be interesting to
9-12-year-olds, etc.
This program is a collaboration between the Sylvan Adams YM-YWHA and PJ Our
Way. Pizza will be served.
