Read Between the Lines Book Club

**In life, it is stories that connect us.**
As part of the 12 Days of Action to End Violence Against Women (November 25 –
December 6), we will be hosting our second Read between the Lines Book Club in
collaboration with (https://www.instagram.com/bookdumpling/) (Andrea Borod).
We will be discussing (https://www.indigo.ca/en-ca/it-ends-
with-us-a-novel/9781501110368.html) by Colleen Hoover, a bestselling romance
novel with a large Young Adult (YA) fanbase. The influence of YA literature is
profound and far-reaching, shaping the perspectives and beliefs of young
minds. **When unhealthy relationships are portrayed without nuance or context,
they can perpetuate damaging societal norms.**
Andrea, who is a seasoned facilitator of book clubs and a voracious reader,
will be leading the discussion while Tegan, a clinical counsellor at the
Harper Office, will be providing clinical and experiential insight into the
realities of IPV as they pertain to the book.
With more than 4 million copies of this book sold, **we hope that this
discussion will be the catalyst for many more conversations about unhealthy or
abusive relationships.**
