Join the Friends of the Jewish Public Library for a keynote lecture with
former Montreal General Hospital Physician-in-Chief, Dr. Phil Gold.
Dr. Gold recently published his autobiography, _Gold’s Rounds, _which
chronicles his life story; from growing up in Montreal’s Plateau neighborhood,
to his early days working at the Molson Brewery, and of course his remarkable
career as a medical professional and cancer researcher. Dr. Gold famously went
on to discover CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen), the first marker for cancer
that could be used in clinical practice.
Copies of _Gold’s Rounds_ will be available for purchase, and Dr. Gold will be
there to sign your copy!
