Der Eydes Volume II Launch with Cesario Lavery

Cesario Lavery for a launch of the second volume of _Der Eydes_ _(The Witness_
). **

Picking up after Volume I’s breathless discovery of an old Kafka volume
belonging to Dr Chaim Shatan, _ Der Eydes Volume II_ dives into the mystery
of parentage and origin – Dr Shatan’s, and the author’s father’s. Both a
meditation on the unknowable and a determined investigation into the past,
this next instalment of _Der Eydes_ is about family and belonging.

**Join author Cesario Lavery for a talk on genealogical research and writing
about families – one’s own, and others. **Following Cesario’s discussion and
reading from Volume II, we will open up the floor for a moderated Q&A session
from our guests.

**Both volumes of _Der Eydes_ will be available for sale (Volume I: $10,
Volume II: $15) at the venue. **
**A cashless bar will also be available with non-alcoholic and alcoholic
beverage options.**

** _Please note_** _capacity for this event is limited so early registration
is encouraged. Also note that the Museum’s upper floors are currently not
accessible to visitors with limited mobility. To protect the safety of Museum
