Cookies in honour of the hostages

This week our community came together to #Standup for our brothers and sisters
in Israel in a special edition of **Baking for a Cause.** Over
90****volunteers devoted their time to decorate sugar cookies with a beautiful
red anemone, Israel’s national flower, and packaged them for sale to help fund
the campaign to bring the hostages home.**Each cookie is dedicated to a
hostage who is, or was, being held captive by Hamas in Gaza.** Together, our
dedicated volunteers helped prepare over 2000 cookies in their honour! Kol
Hakavod! All mitzvot, big & small, have a huge impact on helping those in
Israel feel supported and loved.

Cookies will be sold as a Chanukah fundraiser with all proceeds donated to the
**Israel Emergency Fund.**

Once purchased, cookies will be available for pickup:

From Monday December 4th until Friday December 8th at the **security desk of
Federation CJA** – 5151 Chem. de la Côte-Sainte-Catherine.

On Tuesday December 5th and Wednesday December 6th, at **Federation CJA West
Island** – 96 Roger Pilon St, Dollard-Des Ormeaux from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM

Cookies will also be available for purchase in person on Tuesday December 5th
from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM in the **Federation CJA lobby** , and on Sunday
December 3rd at **CineStarz Deluxe Cavendish Mall** from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
