Je Vais, Tu Vas, Shiva : A Conversation About Death

In a moment when so many of us are experiencing grief, and global events have
brought the subject of death into even clearer focus – it feels like a
pertinent time to speak about dying.

Join us at _Je vais, Tu vas, Shiva: A Conversation about Death_ on November
16th at 7PM at the Museum of Jewish Montreal. We all eventually have to face
mortality. Join us for free snacks and a drink to discuss this topic alongside
a great gang of folks who are steeped in worlds where death is anything but
taboo. We will welcome Dan Misha Goldman, a musician and music therapist in
palliative care; Rian Lussier, a death care worker and memorial organizer for
Keeper and the organizer of a cemetery scavenger for

Artist Sonia Bazar, who is currently preparing a photography and sculpture
exhibit about the Back River Cemetery; and Rabbi Dini Lewittes, a lecturer at
the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York, as well as an innovator of Green
Burial here in Quebec.

À l’approche de l’Halloween, qui arrive à grand pas, et des dernières feuilles
prêtes à faire leurs adieux aux branches d’arbre, l’air macabre remplit le
mois de novembre. Des événements récents ont porté le sujet de la mort plus
clairement en évidence. Il semblait pertinent de parler de la mort.

Rejoignez-nous pour notre évènement **Je vais, Tu vas, Shiva; Une Conversation
sur la Mort** ce 1 **6 novembre** @ PM @ Musee du Montreal Juif. Parce que
nous allons tous.tes mourir tôt ou tard, alors pourquoi ne pas en discuter
autour d’un cocktail en présence d’un groupe de personnes qui se sont
immergées dans des mondes où la mort est tout sauf un tabou. Dan Misha Goldman
est un musicien et thérapeute musical en soin palliatif. Rian Lussier
travaille dans le domaine des soins funéraires et organise des cérémonies pour
Keeper. Elle est aussi organisatrice de la chasse au trésor du cimetière de
Montreal, L’artiste Sonia Bazar prépare une exposition de photographies et de
sculptures sur le cimetière de Back River, et aussi Rabbin Dini Lewittes qui
enseigne un Séminaire théologique juif à New York et qui est aussi une
innovatrice dans les funérailles écologiques ici au Québec.
