10:15 Torah Jam
11:15 Release, a somatic journey of Shmita – With Paz Faigenbaum
12:15 Vegetarian Potluck
From Paz:
We will explore how our bodies can apply Shmita by releasing and relaxing the
nervous system through the practise of Feldenkrais body movement. We will then
embody Shmita principles via three modalities (Jewish meditation, visioning,
and creative expression) to catalyze internal transformation.
I will also weave Tisha b’Av intentions into the session.
About Paz:
Paz Faigenbaum was born and bred in Perth, Australia. He is the founder of FIG
(Food Integrated Gardens), which connects people with nature, the land of
Israel, and the Jewish festivals. He trained with permaculture pioneer Dave
Holmgren, and has been in the field for 18 years, practicing, teaching,
designing installations, and consulting in permaculture. Paz is honored to
have designed and co-developed the first food forest in Israel. For the past
eight years, FIG has offered the Shmita Permaculture Design Course, a unique
apprenticeship program hosted on our farm, Har Hayot, in the Ein Kerem
neighborhood of Jerusalem. Paz is also a certified Feldenkrais practitioner
and teacher, having practiced for over 17 years, with 4 years of accredited
professional training. https://shoutout.wix.com/so/4dO9UyAzR?languageTag=en&fbclid=IwAR2voDccbMjpYnvVFlXeyqEuy3oBO_bknemwwPx5Sq3szxCDVpQ8EVa3AwU
