DESCRIPTION:ProMontreal Entrepreneurs and PME MTL present The ABCs of Starting a Business\nworkshop. This workshop will provide participants with a baseline information\non things to consider and know when starting a business. This workshop will\ncover the business plan\, financials and legal. \n **This workshop will cover:** \n  * The Business Plan: How to write a business plan.\n  * Financing: Baseline information on things to consider and know about financing a business.\n  * Legal: The various legalities of starting a business. \n **Biography of presenters:** \nKurt Houghton \nKurt Houghton holds a Bachelor of Arts with distinction in environmental\nstudies from McGill University and an executive MBA from Université du Québec\nà Montréal with a specialization in collectively owned enterprises. He has\nover fifteen years of cooperative and non-profit management and administration\nexperience and more than five years of entrepreneurial consulting and\ncoaching. \nKatherine Korakakis \nKatherine Korakakis has spent most of her life working alongside start-ups in\nvarious verticals. For 10 years\, she was the National Coordinator of\nEntrepreneurship for the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge for the Government\nof Quebec. She has authored and co-authored guidebooks on entrepreneurship\neducation. Katherine has served on the boards of numerous corporations and\ncurrently is the Vice-President of PMEMTL Centre-Ouest and President of EPCA.\nKatherine is the Manager of Entrepreneurship at Federation CJA\, an early-stage\nVC fund and entrepreneurship program that invests in multiple verticals.
